How To Lose Cellulite

As women get older, they tend to have many more concerns. Aside from menopause, she also has to deal with gray hairs, loss of sex drive, and cellulite. Cellulite is a change in the skin's topography.

This condition is usually experienced in every 1 in 4 women. Common signs are dimples and nodules in the abdominal, lower limbs and pelvic regions. Because of its unsightly appearance, most women want to get rid of cellulite in different parts of their body.

It is usually caused by the herniation of the subcutaneous in the fibrous connective tissues. The results are an orange peel like texture to the skin. A woman's diet and lifestyle, the alteration of connective tissue structure, genetic factors and hormonal factors have an influence on the causes of cellulite in a woman and can vary from one woman to another.

Hormonal factors - Estrogen plays an important role in aggravating cellulite; other hormones that promote cellulite include insulin, prolactin, and adrenaline. Race, biotype and where subcutaneous fat is found in the body, are all predisposing factors.

There are many treatments offered to treat cellulite. The industry that makes treatments and remedies that help get rid of cellulite is a multimillion dollar industry, but the best approach in getting rid of this pesky problem is to attack it with numerous treatments used all at once.

Try and engage in regular exercise to tone and firm up muscles. There have been studies that state that improving the firmness of the muscle can help you get rid of cellulite. You should give emphasis on exercising the areas where the cellulite usually appears, such as the abdomen and thighs. Exercising will aid in weight loss, muscle gain and overall fat loss.

One subtle way of getting rid of cellulite and/or avoiding it is by sticking to a low calorie and low fat diet. By eating healthy, you will be able to keep the size of your fat cells small. Spa treatments are a great indulgence once in a while. Seaweed body wraps, and other spa treatments, can remove cellulite while tightening the skin. You can even use topical creams that tighten the surface of the skin and the connective tissues beneath the skin. Actively search for products containing amino acids, ginkgo biloba extract and seaweed in their ingredients list.

Regular massage is another option. Massages remove fat deposits and improve your blood flow. Be certain you ask your massage therapist to put even pressure on the area.

Caffeine decreased cellulite presence by stimulating the skin, so drink coffee. Another way to keep your skin hydrated is to consume large quantities of water.

If you want a short term solution, you can ask your doctor about liposuction which is a surgical procedure that will take out the excess fat that you have in your body. However, this is very expensive and there are risks involved.
