3. Using Laser For Hair Removal During Winter

By John Collins

At this time of year, it's no surprise that many women somewhat neglect their hair-removal regimes. It's cold outside, so we wear trousers or thick tights, so chances are no-one outside the house will see those little stubbly bits anyway. Even inside, we're more likely to be wearing pyjamas than nighties to bed, so again, what's the problem with letting things go a bit?The thing is, though, that if ever asked, women say that they do prefer to have smooth legs/armpits etc than to have rough re-growth or to allow their body hair to its full extent. It's a vanity thing, really, but it's also a comfort thing - who can argue that it's more pleasant to pull on a pair of tights over stubble than it is to pull them on over silky-smooth legs?

However if you're not motivated enough to dig the razor out, by either your comfort, vanity, or the prospect of your other half wincing when he rubs his hands along your legs, then consider an alternative form of hair removal that's better in a lot of ways.

One of the most excellent form of hair removal is through the use of laser, particularly if you have light skin and dark hair, and can be carried out over large areas at a time. It's relatively painless and should take fewer sessions than electrolysis. By getting the job done over Winter, you'll be smooth as a baby's bottom by the time Summer rolls around and you'll be able to get that bikini on without thinking twice.

Autumn and Winter months are in fact the most popular time of year to have laser hair removal treatment, partly because after treatment your skin will become very sensitive to light. During Spring and Summer months, when your newly-laser-treated legs are exposed to more sunlight, this can lead to some irritation. By doing it in Winter/Autumn, that problem is avoided and by the time Spring comes, any sensitivity will be long-gone.

There are some other things to bear in mind that normally follow laser hair removal. For example, it can leave you with red or angry-looking skin (not great to show off in a short skirt, albeit very short-term), and you're not supposed to wax or pluck between treatments, so if there are a few bits that need more treatment, it's better that they be kept under wraps. And finally, there are often some good special offers around at this time of year, especially in a Central London Laser hair removal clinic .
